What appears on GitHub is not a slogan. It is an official in-ecosystem payment path: an app requests an amount of Pi, not an exchange ticker and not a USD field. That is how the official payment docs, SDKs, and sample shops work. Goods are priced in Pi units.
This is where the internal layer becomes practical:
• OnRamp connects the outside world to the network.
• Oracles can later measure real on-chain transaction volume.
• PiPay becomes a real payment gateway when merchants and users settle in Pi by agreement, not by CEX volatility.
The external price exists for entry and exit. Internal utility value is built from actual usage and supply-demand inside apps. If Pioneers keep supporting GCV as a reference for that internal utility, the live ledger will reveal its true weight. It may even be higher than what is discussed today.
